Ride A Fish Fish List: Confirmed Fish Names and Verified Labels

A transparent Ride A Fish fish list: twelve names confirmed in a recorded in-game Index with their on-screen labels, and which stats are single observations rather than species-wide facts.

Twelve fish names are confirmed in Ride A Fish's recorded in-game Index: Milkfish (Ikan Susu), Small Anchovy (Anchovy Kecil), Anchovy, Pipefish (Ikan pipa), Sardine (Sardin), Mackerel, Clownfish (Ikan Badut), Sea Tilapia (Tilapia Laut), Pufferfish (Ikan Puffer), Grouper, Snapper and Flying Fish (Ikan Terbang). Treat this as a partial list — a confirmed visible subset of one account's Index — not a complete catalog of the game's species. Every English name below is a translation of the Indonesian interface; the Indonesian labels are the only verified on-screen text.

Confirmed fish names in the recorded Index

The Index opens with the green button shown on the left of the recorded PC screen and has separate fish and egg tabs. In the fish tab, one visible reward bar showed 2/5, and the card collection scrolls, so more cards exist beyond the twelve captured in the recording.

Use the Index to identify a name you actually see, then confirm the item through a collected egg in your basket or a hatched fish in your aquarium. A revealed Index card identifies a displayed name; it does not mean you own that fish — ownership and ride selection are confirmed through your aquarium, inventory and hotbar. A dark silhouette only means the recorded account had not revealed that card; it does not prove the species is unavailable on your server.

Species table and verified context

The table below consolidates the twelve recorded names for quick lookup. The English column is translated, not an official English localization list — match your screen against the on-screen label column first.

#English label (translated)Recorded on-screen labelEvidence status
1MilkfishIkan SusuRevealed in the recorded Index frame; the gameplay recording identifies the fish being ridden as a milkfish via the Index.
2Small AnchovyAnchovy KecilNamed in the recorded fish grid; silhouetted in the recorded frame.
3AnchovyAnchovyNamed in the recorded fish grid; silhouetted in the recorded frame.
4PipefishIkan pipaNamed in the grid; later gameplay shows a Pipefish transfer notification, inventory selection and a mounted Pipefish.
5SardineSardinNamed in the recorded fish grid; silhouetted in the recorded frame.
6MackerelMackerelRevealed in the recorded frame; one recorded hatch result labeled Common that enters the aquarium.
7ClownfishIkan BadutNamed in the grid; observed later as an aquarium fish and as a hatched result.
8Sea TilapiaTilapia LautNamed in the grid; observed later as an aquarium fish and as a hatched result the player identifies against the Index.
9PufferfishIkan PufferNamed in the recorded fish grid; silhouetted in the recorded frame.
10GrouperGrouperNamed in the grid; one observed Uncommon hatch from a Tidal Egg (Bang Kai, Day 4).
11SnapperSnapperNamed in the grid; observed later as an aquarium fish, including a recorded +1,000 EXP feed result.
12Flying FishIkan TerbangNamed in the recorded fish grid; silhouetted in the recorded frame.

Only Milkfish and Mackerel are revealed in the particular recorded Index frame; the other names come from the same fish grid where their cards were silhouetted. Later gameplay observations confirm several names as owned fish — a Pipefish transfer and inventory selection, Clownfish and Sea Tilapia in the aquarium, and a Snapper fed for +1,000 EXP. Table order follows the recorded Index and carries no power ranking.

Hatches, rarity labels and per-fish stats

Two hatch results are on record, and both are single observations rather than rules: one hatch produced a Mackerel labeled Common, and a developer recording (Bang Kai, Day 4) shows a Tidal Egg followed by an Uncommon Grouper (egg types are tracked on the egg list). The weight displayed on the Grouper result card around 0:14 belongs to that fish instance, not to every Grouper, and no guarantee exists that every first egg hatches a Mackerel.

Read every other number on these screens the same way:

  • Fish cards display "1 in" numbers and egg cards display green luck labels, but the footage never defines what those denominators count, or their version and conditions. Treat them as in-game labels, not published drop probabilities.
  • Weights and the aquarium's Coins/s values describe the recorded fish instance. One fish's weight or income does not set a species average.
  • All twelve fish are unranked for riding speed. "Unranked" means no reviewed source compares them, not that a fish performs poorly; some video narrators guess that higher rarity means faster fish, but no tested comparison supports ordering the roster.

Rule of thumb: use the Index for identification and collection progress, use a real result card for a fish you own, and do not turn a single fish's weight or Coins/s into a species average or speed rank.

Missing entries and localization limitations

The recorded frame hides most cards behind silhouettes, and scrolling reaches more, so additional species exist that this list cannot name. Reviewed video transcripts mention further hatched fish — for example seahorse, trumpet fish, boxfish, manta ray, anglerfish, jellyfish, Marlin and seal — but their exact Index labels were not captured, so they are not added to the table.

On naming, the Indonesian strings in the table (Ikan Susu, Anchovy Kecil, Ikan pipa, Sardin, Ikan Badut, Tilapia Laut, Ikan Puffer, Ikan Terbang) are the verified on-screen text; Mackerel, Anchovy, Grouper and Snapper appear with those same spellings on screen. All English spellings are translator-derived and should be re-checked in your current game session before being treated as official. The roster also reflects one recording accessed 2026-10-07, so live names, translated labels and any new discoveries deserve a fresh look in-game.

Once a name on this list catches your eye, the rare-fish acquisition guide is the place for hunting decisions, and the fish speed guide covers ride performance.
