Ride A Fish How to Deliver Eggs: Carry It Home and Place It Right
Carry a collected egg to your own aquarium before the Egg Will Break timer runs out, then use Place Egg — not Drop — to finish the delivery in Ride A Fish.
In Ride A Fish, an egg is only delivered once it sits in an Egg Box at your own aquarium. Everything between the underwater pickup and that box is a timed ride home: the game attaches an Egg Will Break warning to the carried egg, and recorded play sessions show eggs lost to that countdown, to bombs on the route, and to players who tried to place in the wrong aquarium. The routine the footage follows is short — take the egg, confirm the basket really holds it, ride straight back to your own aquarium near the SafeZone, and use Place Egg rather than Drop. Each step below includes the on-screen check that tells you it worked. If you haven't picked an egg up yet, the how to find eggs guide covers the search; this page starts once an egg is taken.
Confirm the egg is in your basket
The pickup prompt is Take Egg — recorded on PC as E with the label Ambil Telur on the build the guides filmed. Activating it is only half the check: standing next to an egg or seeing the prompt fire does not mean you are carrying it. Two separate on-screen signs confirm possession:
- The carried egg is visible on your character.
- The basket display changes from empty to occupied and shows the egg's name label.
If the basket stays empty, collection did not happen — close the distance, check which object the prompt is actually targeting, and activate Take Egg again. An Index card or a silhouette only identifies a displayed name; seeing an egg and possessing it are different observations, and real possession shows as the basket's item label plus the transport warning that appears while you carry.
One controls caveat: everything here comes from PC footage, and touch or mobile mappings are unverified, so on other devices look for the same named prompts rather than the same key.
Return to the SafeZone and aquarium
While the basket is occupied, the carried egg runs its own transport deadline, shown as the Egg Will Break warning. Keep it separate from what comes later: the transport warning belongs to the egg you are carrying, while the growth countdown that starts after placement is a different timer on a placed egg.
Until the egg is in a box, don't chase another target. Head back along the return line to your own aquarium — it sits near the SafeZone, and the first-hatch tutorial directs you there, so learn the aquarium-and-Egg-Box landmark before you venture far. The success signal for this leg is simple: you reach your aquarium with the egg still carried.
No fixed time allowance is established for the trip. Countdown values visible in the recordings are single-session observations, so treat whatever number you see as time already running, not a guaranteed allowance. If you want the fuller timing and risk picture, the egg break timer guide covers it separately.

Carry, drop and place are different actions
Inside your own aquarium, approach an available nest or Egg Box. The recorded prompt is E with Tempatkan Telur — Place Egg — and that is the deposit action that actually delivers the egg. Drop is a separate control offered while you carry, and it only sets the egg down in the world.
Two recorded facts decide how to use them:
- Place Egg works at your own aquarium. A recorded attempt at another player's box failed — the player realizes the aquarium "isn't ours" — so follow the return line home before trying to deposit.
- Dropping does not preserve an egg. In one creator's impromptu test, a dropped egg stayed in place and could be picked up again, but the break countdown kept running and the egg still shattered. That footage never shows another player taking a dropped egg, so treat that outcome as unknown rather than a threat or a safety net.
Place the egg and confirm the result instead of trusting the click: the success state is the egg visible in the nest, with the tutorial switching to waiting for the hatch. If an interaction fails, read the current on-screen message before assuming you need a purchase or an upgrade.
Delivery mistakes to avoid
If the countdown expires while you carry, the game reports that the egg went back to where it was taken and the basket flips from occupied to empty — that delivery attempt has failed. The one recorded expiry happened during rain with a Rays-labeled egg; it shows what expiry looks like, but it does not establish a universal recovery or respawn rule. If your basket empties after an expiry message, confirm that state before walking to an Egg Box, and shorten your next circuit so the return landmark is easier to reach.
The other recorded losses come from route and target choices:
| Mistake | What recordings show | Do instead |
|---|---|---|
| Hunting more eggs while carrying | The transport deadline keeps running on the carried egg | Return directly, then plan the next circuit around the SafeZone landmark |
| Placing at another player's aquarium | A recorded placement failed because the box was not theirs | Deposit only at your own aquarium near the SafeZone |
| Dropping an egg to save it | It stayed put and was re-picked, but the countdown continued and it still broke | Keep carrying and use Place Egg at an available box |
| Riding straight through bomb traps | A hit delayed one carrier and cut their speed mid-carry; another session records an egg breaking right after a bomb hit | Swing around visible explosion traps on the return route |
| Trusting the pickup click | An empty basket after Take Egg means the egg was never taken | Check the carried egg and the basket label before leaving the spot |
These are the hazards the recordings happen to show, not a complete risk list, and prompts or timers can change between versions — read what your screen actually shows if something looks different.
With the egg placed, the transport warning is over and the placed egg's growth countdown begins. What happens inside the box — the Ready to Hatch state and the fish result — is the next stage, covered in the how to hatch eggs walkthrough.
